PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers volleyball program was honored with the AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT.
The Scarlet Knights were among the more than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintained a year-long grade-point average of at least a 3.3 on a 4.0 scale to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.
Nine Scarlet Knights were named Academic All-Big Ten in the fall with a cumulative GPA over a 3.0, while a program-record six members of the squad were bestowed with Big Ten Distinguished Scholar accolades for attaining a 3.7 GPA or higher during the 2023-24 year.
