Volleyball Hits Road For Weekend Series With South Carolina

• Ole Miss is looking to bounce back, traveling to Columbia, South Carolina, for a pair of matches with the Gamecocks on November 5 and 6.

SCOUTING THE GAMECOCKS

South Carolina enters the weekend with a 10-11 overall record and a 4-7 mark in SEC play. The Gamecocks have dropped three straight matches; however, they boast a 9-2 record at home. Offensively, McKenzie Moorman and Riley Whitesides pace the attack, averaging 2.86 and 2.81 kills per set. Dalaney Hans and Claire Wilson split the setting duties. They have the Gamecock offense hitting at a .195 mark. Defensively, libero Jenna Hampton ranks second in the conference with 4.32 digs per set and Ellie Ruprich leads the team with 1.05 blocks per set.

SERIES HISTORY

South Carolina holds a narrow edge over Ole Miss, leading the all-time series 31-22. Both teams have split the last ten meetings, with the Rebels sweeping the weekend series a year ago.

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss led from start to finish as the Rebels picked up a dominant 3-0 sweep victory over South Carolina. The Rebel offense looked unstoppable, hitting at a .389 clip, led by three Rebels in double-figure kills.
