Volleyball Kicks Off SEC Play at Tennessee


COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri volleyball begins SEC play with an away match against the Tennessee Volunteers Wednesday, Sept. 21, in Knoxville, Tenn.

The match begins at 6 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN2 Wednesday afternoon.

SERIES SNAPSHOT

  • Mizzou leads Tennessee 11-7 in the all-time series.

  • The two teams met last season with the Tigers besting the Volunteers 3-2 in a home match at Hearnes Center. 

  • The Tigers have dominated at home, taking seven of the eight matches played in Hearnes Center.

MIZZOU NOTABLES

  • Sophomore Kaylee Cox and senior Anna Dixon led the Tigers in kills in all three matches in the Bulldog Brawl last weekend, each posting double digits each match. They currently lead the team in kills with 153 and 126 on the season, respectively.

  • Senior Leandra Mangual-Duran recorded double-digit digs in all three matches, with a career-best 29 digs against Butler and a team-leading 169 this season.

  • In its last match against Central Michigan, Missouri posted nine blocks with six of them coming from freshman Madilyn Sell.
