Volleyball Loses in Last Road Match of Season

Bellevue, NE – The Presentation Saints fell to 11th ranked Bellevue University in straight sets, 25-19, 25-18, 25-12.

The Bruins got out to an early lead in the first set, leading 8-4 after 12 points. That margin never got closer than three points, and the Bruins would win the set 25-19.

The second set saw the Bruins get out to a 7-1 lead, but the Saints were able to battle back and get within one point at 18-19. But Bellevue would go on to win each of the last six points to win the set 25-18.

After being tied early in the third set, the Bruins used a run of 11-1 to get out ahead in the set. They would eventually win the set 25-12.

On defense the Saints were led by Laura Babcock, who had 16 digs. Kenzie Kuxhaus had nine digs herself.

On the offensive side of things, Becca Payne led the team with 10 kills. Saige Jones was behind her with eight kills.

Up Next: The Saints will return home for their last two matches of the season, starting with Friday, November 5 against Dickinson State University. That match will start at 7pm. It will also be senior night.
