COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina volleyball (15-10, 6-8 SEC) enters the final week of the regular season still on the hunt for postseason play, returning home for the first time since Nov. 3 for two matches over the holiday week. Admission to the Carolina Volleyball Center will be free for the team’s match against No. 18 Florida on Wednesday, Nov. 27 and against Texas A&M on Saturday, Nov. 30.
For fans attending home matches this week, parking is available in the lot directly in front of Thirsty Fellow restaurant (behind 650 Lincoln Dorms). It is not advised that any parking occur in the lot facing Assembly Street as tickets could be issued. There is also a lot available off Park Street next to the Strom Thurmond Fitness Center as well as the Horizon Garage off Assembly Street.
Single-game tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth 17 and under, and $3 for groups of 15 or more (with pre-purchase). The physical address for the CVC is 1051 Blossom Street, Columbia, S.C. 29201. The student entrance will be the doors facing the Blossom and Assembly Street intersection, for general admission and VIP ticket holders, the entrance is off Park Street.

SCOUTING THE #18 GATORS
Florida looks for redemption in its South Carolina match-up after the Gamecocks won in Gainesville for the first time since 1986 in the season’s first meeting.The Gators remain at the top of the SEC in service aces (1.95 per set) and hitting percentage (.304) thanks to the emergence of freshman setter Taylor Parks and the return of all-american setter Alexis Stucky from a knee injury early last season. Sophomore outside hitter Kennedy Martin continues her streak of recording double-digit kills in every match she has played as a Gator, following up on a freshman campaign that landed her second-team all-america honors. Per set in the SEC, Kennedy ranks second in kills (5.54) and fourth in aces (0.39). The Gators used the transfer portal to pump up their offense, with UNLV transfer Isabel Martin ranked second on the team in total kills (265) going into the week. Defensively, Florida ranks 12th for digs (12.36) and eighth for blocks (2.16) per set in the SEC. The team leans on two freshmen in the middle (Jaela Auguste and Alec Rothe), who have combined to have a hand in 164 of the team’s total blocks.
