Volleyball Overwhelms Columbia 3-0 on Senior Day

Gainesville, Georgia– The Brenau volleyball team honored its four seniors on Senior Day with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-18) victory over Columbia (SC) College in an Appalachian Athletic Conference match on Saturday.

After winning the first set, Brenau continued to put on the pressure by jumping out to a 10-0 run in the second set. The offense continued to attack as the squad bested the visiting Koalas 25-15 to take a 2-0 lead. In the third set, the Koalas led early, but the Golden Tigers responded with a decisive 8-1 run to close out the match 25-18.

Senior Rachel Hodges and junior Mary Ellen Enright each posted a game-high 13 kills, while senior setter Sydney Norton notched a game-high 23 assists. 

Brenau (15-12 overall, 9-7 AAC) next travels to Reinhardt (Ga.) University (16-9 overall, 12-4 AAC) for an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup on Tuesday at 6:30 pm in Waleska, Ga.
