KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee volleyball team closes out the 2022 regular season on the road with a two-match series at Alabama.
The teams will play around Thanksgiving with the opening match of the series coming on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. Match two is slated for Friday at 6 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
UT and Mississippi State played a two-match series in Knoxville this past weekend, with Tennessee prevailing in both matches. The Lady Vols won the opening match 3-0 before taking down the Bulldogs in five sets in match two.

Setter Natalie Hayward scored a triple-double in Sunday’s match vs. MSU – 10 kills, 61 assists and 14 digs – doing so on senior day in her final home match as a Lady Vol. It was Hayward’s first career triple-double and the first by a Lady Vol since Mary Pollmiller in 2012.
WEEKLY HONORS
Hayward was named the SEC Player and Setter of the Week following her performance last week. Senior Morgahn Fingall joined Hayward in receiving SEC awards as she was named the league’s offensive player of the week.
Over three matches, Fingall averaged 4.75 kills per set, 5.25 points per set and hit .394. She notched two 20-plus kill outings, including a career-high 29 kills against Mississippi State on Sunday.
GOOD AGAINST THE TIDE
Head coach Eve Rackham Watt has been successful against Alabama during her career, holding a 6-1 mark. Recently, Tennessee has won three straight over the Crimson Tide.
SWEEPS-VILLE
Nine of the Lady Vols’ 16 wins this season have come in three sets. Including last season, 23 of UT’s last 36 wins have been sweeps.
