Volleyball Signs Ohio State Transfer Sarah White

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Volleyball Head Coach Dawn Sullivan announced Friday the signing of transfer setter Sarah White.

White, a 6-0 setter from Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, heads to Mizzou after spending the past two seasons at Ohio State.

She made her collegiate debut on Oct. 15, 2022, registering 13 assists and a dig for the Buckeyes in a 3-0 sweep of Rutgers.

White was a member of two NCAA Tournament teams at OSU including an Elite Eight appearance in 2022 following a Sweet 16 berth in 2021.

In the classroom, White was named an OSU Scholar Athlete in both 2021 and 2022.

Prior to heading to Columbus, Ohio, White was a four-year letterwinner at Seneca Valley High School, where she surpassed 1,000 career kills and assists.

White also served as a team captain of the Raiders for three seasons and was selected to the USA Women’s Junior National Training Team.

She was named a 2020 Under Armour First Team All-American and also earned all-state, all-section, All-WPIAL (Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League), and All-Big 56 First Team honors each of her four seasons at Seneca Valley.

White was also selected to the Pennsylvania Coaches’ Association All-State Team three times and played club volleyball at Pittsburgh Elite, where she earned a spot on the Prep Volleyball’s Top 50 Recruits list.

White is the sixth transfer for Sullivan after the addition of libero Maya Sands in January, along with transfers Naomi Franco, and Luisa Vilaca, and graduate transfers Dilara Gedikoglu and Colleen Finney.
