HONOLULU – The No. 21 ranked Lewis University women’s volleyball team split day two of the Magic Hawai’i Island Classic against No. 25 Chaminade and No. 7 California State-San Bernardino at the Hawai’i Convention Center. The Flyers defeated the Silverswords in three sets, 25-13, 25-23, 25-17; then dropped their match against the Yotes in four, 22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22.

FIRST SET: No. 21 Lewis 25, No. 25 Chaminade 13
- Chaminade went ahead early 3-0 before Lewis went on a 6-1 rally to pull ahead 7-4 capped off by a kill by Natalie Stefanski (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet West).
- The Silverswords rallied and tied it at 7-all.
- Later in the set, Lewis went up 19-11 after a service ace from Megan Schlechte (Strasburg, Ill./Stewardson-Strasburg) (Strasburg, Ill./Stewardson-Strasburg).
- The Flyers scored the last four points of the opening set to win 25-13 capped off by a kill by Schlechte.
