KINGSPORT, TN – The Bryan College Volleyball team woke up early for their semi-final match against No. 4 seeded Brenau University. The Lady Lions battled their way through a tightly-contested three sets to earn their second sweep of the tournament and advance to the championship game. The final scores for each set were 25-16, 25-20, 27-25. This is the first time since 2013 that Bryan has made an appearance in the AAC Tournament Championship. 

 

INSIDE THE STATS

  • Bryan won the battle at the net with 15 blocks, led by Raegan Malugin with 4.5.
  • Gigi Ford recorded 10 kills for her second double-digit total of the tournament.
  • The Lady Lions limited the Golden Tigers to a .057 hitting percentage.
  • Bryan only had 9 attacking errors in the match, while Brenau had 30.

 

NEXT TIME OUT

  • Bryan will play in the AAC Tournament Championship at 4:30PM today.
  • They will face the winner of No. 2 Columbia International and No. 3 Reinhardt beginning at 12:30PM.
