WATERTOWN, S.D. – The 2021 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) announced its All-Conference volleyball teams and postseason awards Thursday evening. Awards were given out during the honors reception at the Ramkota Inn & Convention Center on the eve of the North Star Volleyball conference postseason tournament at Civic Arena.
Waldorf sophomore outside hitter Kenzie Kidd (Roscoe, IL/Hononegah HS) was named to the NSAA All-Conference Second Team.  The sophomore recorded 3.21 kills per set and set an individual match record of 29 kills in one game.Â
“Kenzie worked hard this year to improve her game in all areas,” said Waldorf Head Coach Bri Ebenhoe. “She is someone that opponents have to respect and game plan for, so it was a great thing to see her recognized as All-Conference.”
In addition to the all-conference teams, the NSAA also bestows NAIA Champions of Character honors upon one player per conference team.  Junior middle blocker Abygail Wood (Ankeny, IA/Ankeny Centennial HS) earned the Champions of Character recognition for the second consecutive season.Â
“Aby is a model of a great student-athlete,” said Coach Bri Ebenhoe. “Not only is she dedicated to volleyball, but she also applies herself in the classroom and in leadersip on the team and at a conference level. I could not be more proud of her and her efforts.”
The Warriors posted an 11-16 overall record in 2021, which marked a seven-win improvement over the prior season.
