BELLEVUE, Neb. – The Waldorf women’s volleyball team traveled for a conference matchup against No. 16 Bellevue University this evening. The Warriors fell in three, 11-25, 13-25, 19-25.

The Bruins opened the first set by going on an 11-3 run against the Warriors and going on to take the first set.

For the second set, the Warriors were able to have more kills and less hitting errors but could not compare to the Bruins’ 16 kills.

The Warriors came out strong for set three. Abygail Wood tied the game 10-10 and Kaityln Bakke had back-to-back service aces to go up 12-10. Kenzie Kidd and Charlotte Wright each tallied a kill to give the Warriors a 19-17 lead, but the Bruins were able to force some errors and finished the match with two kills.

Alicia Brandt and Anna Longhenry lead the offense with 6 and 5 kills, respectively. Emma Hovenga and Bakke each had nine assists and Kaylee Kidd finished with 11 digs.

Next for the Warriors is their final conference game against Dakota State University Saturday, Nov. 5th at 3pm.
