FOREST CITY, Iowa – The Warriors took on nationally ranked, No.14 Bellevue University in today’s afternoon contest, dropping in three straight sets.

Junior outside hitter Kenzie Kidd (Roscoe, IL) and sophomore right side Zoee Pond (Monroe, WI) led the offense for the Warriors in the first set, getting three and two kills respectfully. As a team, the Warriors had two blocks but could not get by Bellevue, losing 16-25.

The Warriors were able to compete better for set 2 but fell short 21-25. Kidd had four of the seven team kills. Senior middle-blocker Abygail Wood (Ankeny, IA) came up big for the Warriors in set 3 having five kills and only one error. The Warriors had their best team hitting percentage with getting 12 kills and only five errors for a .280 but it was not enough to force a fourth set. The Bruins won 19-25.

Kidd finished with a team high of nine kills, Pond had five kills, one solo block and one block assist, and senior setter Kaitlyn Bakke (Forest Lake, MN) had 24 assists.

The Warriors travel to LaCrosse, Wisconsin for an NSAA conference match against (8)Viterbo on Wednesday, October 12th at 7PM.
