SEATTLE — Every match gains added weight with three weeks and six matches left in the regular season, as the Husky Volleyball team, with one of its leaders back in the rotation, looks for a postseason push. Four of the final six will be at home in Alaska Airlines Arena, starting this weekend with 25th-ranked USC and UCLA coming in. Washington, 44th in the RPI, hosts the Trojans (31st in RPI) on Friday night at 7 p.m. and then the Bruins (48th in RPI) on Sunday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. Both matches will be live stream only via GoHuskies.com and Pac-12 Insider.

Before all heading to the Big Ten next season, the Huskies, Trojans, and Bruins will battle once more all trying to take their usual spots representing the Pac-12 in the NCAA tournament. USC sits tied for third with a 10-4 record and the Bruins are one game ahead of the Huskies with a 6-8 record. Washington (14-11, 5-9 Pac-12) is looking to even the season series with both after UCLA had a 3-0 win in Pauley Pavilion (including a 38-36 third set win) and the Trojans held off the Huskies in five sets at Galen Center.

The Dawgs got a boost last week with May Pertofsky returning from injury, helping UW snap a four-match skid with a win at Cal, where Pertofsky started at middle blocker, having previously played only one match there during the first week of the season. She moved back to opposite on Sunday at Stanford and led the Huskies with 12 kills as UW battled the fifth-ranked Cardinal evenly for two sets before Stanford took sets three and four for the win. Kierstyn Barton had another impressive weekend and earned the third Pac-12 Freshman of the Week award of her year, tying the most by a Husky freshman.
