SEATTLE – Washington Beach Volleyball is finally to play in front of a home crowd after six away tournaments. Washington will host their only home tournament, The Husky Invitational at Alki Beach, April 15th– 16th. The Beach Dawgs will face a group of Pacific Northwest teams including Portland, Oregon, and Boise State. Coming off of two solid wins off Utah and Arizona State and a tough 2-3 loss to No. 4 UCLA last weekend, the Huskies are eager to keep the ball rolling.

This will be the one and only home stand for the No. 13 Huskies. The weekend will be played tournament style, with all teams playing each other on Saturday then playing for a champion on Sunday.

First up on Saturday for the Huskies is The University of Portland. The Pilots are currently 5-8 on the season.

Shortly following this game, the Huskies will face Oregon for the third time this season. The first match against the Ducks ended in a 5-0 sweep for the Huskies, followed by a 4-1 win the following weekend. Oregon is currently 7-19 on the season and 0-5 in conference. The Huskies will look to go for a third victory over the Ducks.

To finish up Saturday, Washington will face Boise State for the last game of the day. The Mustangs are currently 19-6 on the season and 4-2 in conference.

The rest of the tournament will be played out on Sunday starting at 10 am with two semifinal matches, a third-place match, and the championship match. At 2pm before the Championship match, the Huskies will be honoring their senior class including Paloma Bowman, Teagan DeFalco, Hannah Yerex, Chloe Loreen and Natalie Robinson.
