EVANSTON, IL – Northwestern volleyball could not overcome a strong effort from the Michigan State Spartans’ offense Sunday, falling in three sets (20-25, 26-28, 27-29) at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
The loss dropped Northwestern’s record to 17-13 overall and 6-12 in Big Ten action.
The Wildcats were led by a double-double from Hanna Lesiak, who registered 13 kills and 10 digs on the day. Temi Thomas-Ailara also added 17 kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Megan Miller chipped in for with 10 digs to go with three blocks from Desiree Becker.

SET 3 | Northwestern couldn’t prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Wildcats came up short in a back-and-forth battle, losing 29-27 in a set that featured nine lead changes and was tied 17 times. Neither team had a lead of more than three points along the way.
