Women’s Volleyball Finishes Three Game Stretch in West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, WV. – The Merrimack College women’s volleyball team lost today’s match up against the Binghamton University Bearcats.

Rapid Recap

  • The Bearcats started off the first set with a 3-point lead, Merrimack answered back by tying both teams up with a kill from Sydney Green. Binghamton proceeded to go on a 6-point run until Merrimack came back to end the run. Both teams went neck and neck until Binghamton went on to finish the set with Merrimack only losing by four points.
  • Green had three kills in the second set to try to bring the team back into the game. The Bearcats had decided to end the game real early by going on a 10-point run which was then broken up by a kill from Cate Wright. Binghamton went on to win the second set 25-10.
  • Both teams tried to take the lead in the third set with Merrimack getting kills from Julz Carlat and Hannah Webber. Ashley Gajdzik had two kills in the third set, trying to get Merrimack back on track. However, the Bearcats took the lead towards the end and finished the third and final set 25-17.

·       Merrimack had 28 kills in total in the defeat.
·       Carlat and Green were tied for kills with seven each.
·       Quinn Kellogg led the team in assists with fifteen.
