UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State women’s volleyball is set to have at least 11 matches on national television in 2022, as announced by the Big Ten Conference on Monday. The slate includes 10 matches against Big Ten opponents and one non-conference matchup against Stanford.
All 11 of Penn State’s television matches will be on Big Ten Network (BTN). The first is the non-conference contest with Stanford on Sept. 9. That match is part of the Big Ten/Pac 12 Challenge and features two programs that have combined for 16 national titles.
The Lions’ next five BTN matches are on the road, starting with Wisconsin on Sept. 30. Following that, contests at Ohio State (Oct. 7), at Nebraska (Oct. 14), at Maryland (Oct. 21) and at Illinois (Oct. 26) will air on the network.
The first BTN match at Rec Hall this season will see Penn State take on Ohio State on Oct. 29. Just four days later the network will feature the Lions as they host Maryland on Nov. 2.
Penn State has three-straight matches on BTN late in the season. That stretch includes a match at Purdue (Nov. 12) and home matches against Minnesota (Nov. 18) and Wisconsin (Nov. 19).
A record 55 Big Ten matches are scheduled to air on national television this season, including 47 on BTN, six on ESPN2/ESPNU and two on FS1.
All non-televised Big Ten Conference volleyball matches are scheduled to appear on B1G+, a subscription service for non-televised live events.
