The Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) confirmed Bernardo Rezende, the current technical coordinator for Brazil’s men’s teams, as the head coach of the Brazilian Men’s National Team. This announcement comes from the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV), following Renan Dal Zotto’s departure from the team.
Bernardinho is no stranger to Olympic glory. His impressive track record includes a silver medal as a player in Los Angeles 1984, two bronze medals coaching the women’s national team (Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000), and a notable collection of medals coaching the men’s team: two golds (Athens 2004 and Rio 2016) and two silvers (Beijing 2008 and London 2012).
Radamés Lattari, president of the CBV, expressed delight in having a professional of Bernardinho’s caliber and reputation guiding Brazilian volleyball. Bernardinho’s role as the technical coordinator for both the adult and junior men’s teams, aiming towards the 2024, 2028, and 2032 Olympics, continues alongside his new coaching responsibilities.
