In a thrilling tie-breaker, Mint Vero Volley Monza defeated Itas Trentino 3-2 (23-25, 25-13, 23-25, 25-23, 15-9) at the Unipol Arena in Bologna, securing their first-ever appearance in the Coppa Italia Grand Final. Standout performances from Loeppky, Galassi and Szwarc, scoring 21, 16 and 16 points respectively, spearheaded Monza’s victory. Despite Itas Trentino’s 13 blocks and Rychlicki’s 21 points, they fell short, particularly missing a crucial opportunity in the fourth set.

Monza’s strong start in the second set and a fierce comeback in the fourth set were pivotal, overcoming Trentino’s initial leads. The tie-breaker saw Monza in dominant form, concluding with a serve error from Trentino’s Lavia.

Monza now eagerly awaits the winner of the Sir Susa Vim Perugia vs. Allianz Milano match to compete in the final. The game witnessed a turnout of 7,562 spectators. Post-match, Monza’s Marco Gaggini highlighted the team’s collective belief and enthusiasm, while Trentino’s coach, Fabio Soli, expressed disappointment and pondered on the team’s unfulfilled potential.
