NORTH ANDOVER, MASS– Sophomore outside hitter, Cate Wright, was named to the UConn Invite all tournament team for her play over this past weekend.
Merrimack and Wright played 3 games in two days in Storrs facing off against Lehigh University, Hofstra University, and the host, UConn. Wright was spectacular in the three games of play leading all Warriors in kills with 29 including a 12 kill performance against UConn on Saturday as she played every set of the tournament for Merrimack. She would finish the weekend with 19 digs and 37.0 points.
The Warriors and Wright will get back to action on Friday September, 8th when they travel to Worcester, Massachusetts to take on Holy Cross before coming back home on Sunday to square off in their home opener against NJIT.
