2021 AVCA Division I All-American Awards
2021 Academic All-America® NCAA Division I Volleyball Team
ROSEMONT, ILL – Twenty Big Ten Conference volleyball student-athletes have been selected as All-Americans by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), the most of any conference. In addition, two Big Ten volleyball players were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team.
In all, eight Big Ten teams received at least one AVCA All-America nod, with Nebraska and Purdue pacing the league with four honorees each.
Nebraska freshman libero Lexi Rodriguez, Minnesota senior right side hitter Stephanie Samedy, Wisconsin graduate student setter Sydney Hilley and graduate middle blocker Dana Rettke all earned recognition on the first team.
Hilley was also a member of the CoSIDA Academic All-America first team, while Illinois Diana Brown was named to the second team.
