The top 13 teams are the same as last week in the AVCA Week 8 poll that added its fourth and fifth Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams as Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Wisconsin-Stevens Point enter for the departing NYU and Gustavus Adolphus.

Juniata once again leads the poll, followed by No. 2 Hope, No. 3 Johns Hopkins, No. 4 MIT, No. 5 Emory, No. 6 Wisconsin-Oshkosh, No. 7 Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 8 Washington-St. Louis, No. 9 Millikin and No. 10 East Texas Baptist. For those scoring at home, Region VIII accounts for four of the top nine teams and eight of the top 25.

Other Region VIII/IX programs in the Week 8 top 25: No. 15 Chicago; No. 18 Northwestern; No. 20 Wisconsin-Platteville; No. 24 UW-Stevens Point; No. 25 UW-Eau Claire.

Region VIII/IX teams also receiving votes this week: Gustavus; North Park; Illinois Wesleyan; Transylvania.

The Last Team Standing (2024) page still features an elongated three-way battle for the title. Two of them play tonight.
