MATCH WEEK
Utah Volleyball returns home this week, haunting the Huntsman on Halloween night, hosting the Arizona Wildcats on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. MT. The Utes return to action, looking at another top 25 showdown with the 13th-ranked Sun Devils from Arizona State on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. MT.
Utah fans can tune in to ESPN+ on Thursday and Saturday to catch both matches this week. Krista Blunk will be providing the play-by-play, with Victoria Dennis on color for the call.
QUICK HITS
• The Utes moves to #22 in the most recent AVCA top 25 poll. Utah split its most recent set of Big 12 road matches, taking down K-State (3-1) before falling to #9 Kansas in straight sets.
• Utah made its way back into the the top 25 in the week seven poll this season. This was the first time since coming in at 22nd in the preseason of the 2022 poll.
• As a team, Utah has averaged 14.4 kills per set with 13.4 assists per set. From the service line, the Utes are averaging 1.6 aces per set. On the defensive side of the net, Utah is posting 15.3 digs per set with 2.4 blocks per set.
• Kamryn Gibadlo heads into the weekend just five kills shy of hitting the 500 career kills milestone.
• Utah is 17-29 all-time against the Arizona Wildcats and own a 20-18 all-time record against the Arizona State Sun Devils.
• The Utes are 9-1 in their last 10 meetings with the Wildcats. Utah took the last decision against Arizona, 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 27-25), when the two sides met in Tucson in early October.
• Utah fell in the first meeting of the season at Arizona State, 3-1 (25-17, 13-25, 19-25, 15-25). The Utes are 3-2 in the last five meetings, facing the Sun Devils at the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
• Sophomore Kamryn Gibadlo earned the first Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors for the program since joining the new conference and the first weekly award of her career.
• The Utes have won 10 of 20 matches by way of a 3-0 decision.
• Utah boasts a deep attack of four hitters averaging 2.0+ kills per set with a hitting percentage of .250 or better. Kamryn Gibadlo (3.36/.263), Lauren Jardine (2.87/.252), Emrie Satuala (2.39/.370), Rianne Vos (2.00/.318).
