Saints Inch Towards Playoff Spot With Win

Aberdeen, SD – The Presentation College Saints moved towards clinching a playoff spot with a crucial victory over Dickinson State University, winning in straight sets by a score of 25-17, 25-13, 25-13. The victory moved the Saints to 14-13 on the season, and also took place as the team celebrated their eight seniors on Senior Night.

The Saints took the first set by utilizing a 10-3 run to end the set, winning 25-17. The second set was much more of the same, with the Saints getting out to an early 7-1 lead. They would use an 8-2 run to end the set with a 25-13 set win.

The third set started off close, with the score tied at nine a piece. The Saints would then go on an 11-2 run to get out to a commanding land. They would eventually win the third set 25-13.

On Senior Night, it was fittingly two seniors that led the offensive attack for the Saints. Constence Rollins led the match with nine kills, while Saige Jones had six.

Defensively, it was Laura Babcock who led the way for the Saints. She had 21 digs in just three sets. Her 523 digs on the season are good for 35th in the country.

Up Next: The Saints will close out their regular season with a home match against Valley City State University. The match will take place on Saturday, November 6 at 5pm.
