LANCASTER, Pa. — Playoff time is here for the majority of Centennial Conference fall sports as field hockey, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball have wrapped up regular season play and begin conference tournaments this week. Meanwhile, men’s and women’s swimming completed its second weekend of meets and men’s and women’s basketball open their seasons this weekend.
This week marks the final weekly honors for fall sports. Winners for the week of Oct. 25-31 include Elle Bruggeman of Ursinus field hockey, Katie Roper of Franklin & Marshall field hockey, Stathis Kalathias of Swarthmore men’s soccer, Sam Altman Farrell of Franklin & Marshall men’s soccer, Katie Sullivan of Johns Hopkins women’s soccer, Hannah Friedrich of Haverford women’s soccer, Dina Kosyagin of Haverford volleyball, Brendan Cline of Franklin & Marshall men’s swimming, and Teresa Draves of Washington College women’s swimming.

Ellie Bruggeman, So., F/M, Ursinus

Bruggeman recorded six points behind two goals and two assists in a pair of wins for 14th-ranked Ursinus last week. She opened the week with three points on a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over No. 17 Haverford on Wednesday night, including scoring the game-winner. Bruggeman followed with another one-goal, one-assist performance in the Bears 8-2 win over Gettysburg on Saturday afternoon.
Katie Roper, Jr., D/M, Franklin & Marshall

Roper was a part of an F&M defense that allowed just two total shots on goal during Centennial Conference shutout victories against Muhlenberg and McDaniel.
Stathis Kalathias, So., M, Swarthmore
London, England | Hampton School
Kalathias helped Swarthmore to a 1-0 week as he scored the overtime game-winning goal at Haverford on Saturday, clinching the No. 4 seed in the Centennial Conference playoffs for the Garnet.
