RALEIGH, N.C. — No. 10 Georgia Tech volleyball (17-4, 10-2 ACC) staved off a stingy NC State (12-11, 6-6 ACC) squad for a 3-1 victory on Sunday in Reynolds Coliseum. Maintaining an advantage across the board on paper through their sixth straight win (25-22, 25-26, 23-25, 25-22), the Yellow Jackets leaned on vaunted outside hitter Julia Bergmann as she tied her second highest kill output of the year with 25 kills on top of a season-high 17 digs.
Despite the Wolfpack hanging around, the Yellow Jackets maintained advantages across the board in kills (61-48), hitting percentage (.217-.138), assists (60-45), aces (8-4) and digs (81-70).
Bergmann built on her gaudy season totals through the day, earning her ninth 20+ kill match and eighth double double on the year on the day. Junior right-side hitter Tamara Otene followed with her second double double this season, finishing with 12 kills and 10 digs.
Junior setter Bella D’amico orchestrated the offense, tying her career high recently set on Friday with 49 assists yet again. Defensively, sophomore outside hitter Bianca Bertolino anchored the Jackets with a career-high 23 digs.
