Match Notes

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 12 Florida volleyball team (18-4, 10-2 SEC) welcomes the Missouri Tigers (8-13, 1-10 SEC) to Exactech Arena on Friday night.

The conference clash is slated for a 7 p.m. start on SEC +, with Tom Collett and Josh Crow on the call. The match can also be heard on the airways of ESPN Gainesville 98.1 FM/850 AM with Nevada Cullen and Nick Cheronis on the call.

Florida is coming off a series sweep against Arkansas last week, while Missouri fell to Georgia twice in its last series.

The Gators hold the 11-5 series advantage over the Tigers, including a 6-2 record in Gainesville, Fla.

Last Time Out

  • In its last contest, the then-No. 14 Florida volleyball team defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks in a five-set thriller (20-25, 25-23, 25-18, 20-25, 15-7) to remain in sole possession of first place in the SEC
  • Florida was led on the offensive front by a 17-kill performance from Marina Markova. Sofia Victoria pitched in 16, while Merritt Beason added in a 12-kill effort. Both middle blockers – Bre Kelley and Gabrielle Essix – posted nine kills in the victory to round out the Gator scorers
  • Alexis Stucky notched her fifth double-double of the season after registering 54 assists and 14 digs, all while leading the team to a .253 clip
  • As a squad, Florida held Arkansas to a .199 hitting efficiency on the afternoon, to go along with 12.0 blocks. Essix posted a team-high eight blocks on the afternoon, followed by five from Beason. Kelley registered four of her own in the match, while Stucky and Markova each added three apiece
  • Stucky and Elli McKissock paced the backcourt, each recording a 14-dig performance. Those were followed by Beason’s 11, while Emily Canaan (7), Trinity Adams (5) and Victoria (4) combined for 16 in the match
  • Canaan posted two service aces on the afternoon to lead the way for Florida and the duo of McKissock/Stucky each added one

Last Time Against Missouri

  • The last time these two squads faced off, the Gators defeated Missouri in straight sets in Columbia, Mo. (25-10, 25-23, 25-22)
