 Merrimack College saw an incredible number of student-athletes honored on the Northeast Conference’s Fall 2021 Academic and Commissioner’s Honor Rolls, as announced by the league office Friday afternoon. 

Both the NEC’s Academic and Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognizes eligible student-athletes representing the sports of men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball. Members of the academic honor roll have maintained a GPA of 3.20 or higher for the semester, while the commissioner’s honor roll is for those who have at least a 3.75 or higher. 

Merrimack had 135 student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll, while an even 50 Warriors landed on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll. 

It was all part of a conference record 1,198 student-athletes named to the honor roll, which is a 6.2 percent increase from the conference standard set a year ago. There were also a record 498 student-athletes named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll with a 3.75 or better grade point average, an astounding 27.4 percent jump from the previous league mark established in 2019.

TJ Corliss of Merrimack was also named the NEC’s Scholar-Athlete of the year in men’s cross country in the release.
