The discussion focused on the development of volleyball in Asia
FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° today met with IOC Member from Thailand Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul and discussed the importance and popularity of volleyball in Asia.
The leaders met during the World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest, Hungary and shared their ideas on volleyball’s growth in Asia and the future of the sport in the continent.

FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° said:
“It is always a pleasure to meet with Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul, who is a big supporter of our sport. Mrs Leeswadtrakulpreviously joined the Volleyball Family at the FIVB Volleyball World Cup 2019 in Japan and at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 to enjoy some great performances from our players.
“Volleyball is very popular in Asia and, of course in Thailand, and I truly appreciate the knowledge and expertise of Mrs Leeswadtrakul is able to share in her capacity as an IOC Member from the country.”
