UCLA Bench, Dueck Lead Comeback Victory Over Pepperdine

HONOLULU, Hawaii – The UCLA women’s volleyball team used a 10-0 run in the fourth set to spur a five-set, comeback victory over Pepperdine in the Outrigger Volleyball Challenge at the Stan Sheriff Center Thursday night.
 
Set scores were 25-20, 21-25, 21-25, 25-21 and 15-10.
 
The Bruins (5-1) had their backs against the wall after dropping sets two and three. Leading the charge in the fourth set was setter Audrey Pak who entered as a serving substitution. The Moraga, Calif. native, who set career highs in assists and aces in week one earlier this season, went on a 9-0 run from the service line with an ace to push UCLA to a 12-4 lead over the Waves (1-5).
 
During that stretch, Iman Ndiaye, Anna Dodson and Grayce Olson all recorded kills and the Bruins tallied two blocks. UCLA limited Pepperdine to a .000 hitting percentage in the set with nine attack errors.
 
Ndiaye led UCLA with a match-high 18 kills at a .390 hitting percentage. With her 20.0 points tonight, including one ace and two block assists, Ndiaye has now recorded four of the five highest single-match point totals of her career in the first six matches of her senior season. It was her third 20-point performance.
 
Libero Peyton Dueck achieved the first double-double of her career with a UCLA career-high 22 digs and career high 12 assists. It was the first double-double of the season by a Bruin….
