Utah Volleyball Pushes Washington in Five Set Match

Salt Lake City Utah Volleyball returned to their home floor at Jon M. Huntsman Arena, hosting the Huskies from Washington University. The Utes fell short against the Huskies in their second five-set battle against Washington of the season (25-20, 25-23, 22-25, 22-25, 11-15).
 
Utah controlled the first two sets, putting down 34 kills to Washington’s 23. The Utes dominated nearly every statistical category throughout the evening, posting 66 total kills on the evening with a hitting percentage of .249 to the Huskies .234 with 59 kills.
 
Lauren Jardine was a force on the outside, tallying a career-high 23 kills on 62 swings. Jardine would add a team-high four aces from the service line while getting up on three block assists. Kamryn Gibadlo and Allie Olsen added double-digit kills for the Utah offensive effort.
 
Gibadlo recorded her 16th match and fourth in a row with double-figure kills, putting down 14 on 39 attempts with just two errors for a .308 clip. Olsen tallied her 13th match with a hitting percentage of .400 or better, smashing 12 kills on 23 attempts with just two errors for a .435 clip.
 
Emrie Satuala kept a clean sheet hitting .400 or better for the ninth time this season. Satuala posted nine kills on 25 attempts without an error. Vanessa Ramirez put together 23 digs to keep the Utah offense alive. Viktoria Wahlgren paced the team with 37 of the 55 assists. Grace Hammond
