Box Score KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Purdue volleyball team improved to 2-0 following a sweep of Loyola Chicago, 25-14, 25-23, 25-19. As a team, Purdue held Loyola Chicago to a .073 attack % while notching nine stuffs.
Redshirt junior setter Megan Renner recorded her second straight match with 30 assists with eight digs. Offensively, the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, product recorded two kills on three attempts for a .667 attack %.
Senior defensive specialist Ava Torrance finished the afternoon with eight digs, a career-best and team-leading mark.
Offensively, Eva Hudson led the team, recorded 12 kills with three errors on 28 attempts (.321 attack %).
Meanwhile, the team’s efficiency included two Boilermakers with a .467 hitting clip: Raven Colvin and Madeline Koch. Colvin committed just one error after eight kills on 15 swings and added a team-leading four total blocks with one block solo and three assisted. Meanwhile, Koch was a difference-maker in the match, posting nine kills with two errors on 15 swings and adding three total blocks, including a block solo to clinch the second set win.
One more match remains in the Tennessee Classic, with Purdue facing host Tennessee at 6 p.m. ET this evening on SEC Network+.
