Booth Tabbed Defensive Player of the Week


MADISON, Wis. – For the second time this season, Wisconsin volleyball’s Carter Booth has been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced this afternoon. Booth tallied 17 total blocks, including three solo, and helped the Badgers to 2-0 week with victories over No.19 Purdue and Illinois.

The six-foot-seven middle blocker averaged 2.43 blocks per set, including 10 alone against Illinois. The 10 blocks in the match for Booth tied for second-most in a three-set match at UW. The Denver native also collected 16 kills, averaging 2.29 kills per set, hit .406 (16-3-32), and recorded an assist over the course of the two matches.

The Big Ten weekly honor is the second of Booth’s career. She was also named Big Ten Player of the Week on Oct. 2, 2023.

No. 2 Wisconsin will hit the road this week beginning with Maryland on Nov. 10 and No. 16 Penn State the next day.
