Finalists Announced for 2021-22 C-Club Female Rookie Athlete of the Year

The finalists have been announced for the 2021-22 SUNY Cortland C-Club Female Rookie Athlete of the Year. Only student-athletes in their first year of collegiate competition are eligible for the award.

The winner will be recognized at the C-Club Athletics Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 2, at Brown Auditorium in Old Main.

The 2021-22 C-Club Female Rookie Athlete of the Year Finalists are:

Paige Cerminaro (Howell, NJ), Golf

Hanna Corrigan (Barneveld/Holland Patent), Field Hockey

Keirra Ettere (Mahopac/Lakeland), Field Hockey

Molly Goergen (Eden Prairie, MN), Ice Hockey

Alexa Guedez (Rye/Rye Neck), Volleyball

Mia Hlasnick (Olean/Portville), Ice Hockey

Corinne Miedreich (Pearl River), Basketball

Halle Wright (Ballston Spa), Softball

PAIGE CERMINARO, Golf

 

Season Stats/Honors (through April 25):

* 18 rounds over 10 events

* 79.3 scoring average with 10 rounds in the 70s

* Northeast Women’s Golf Conference Championship medalist

* Northeast Women’s Golf Conference Golfer of the Year and Rookie of the Year

* Nazareth Invitational tournament medalist and Westminster Spring Invitational medalist

 

Team Accomplishments (through April 25):

* Northeast Women’s Golf Conference champs; NCAA automatic qualifier

* Second Team All-American (NFHCA and Synapse Sports)

* Synapse Sports Division III National Rookie of the Year

* SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Year

* SUNYAC Rookie of the Year
