Male, Maldives, August 2, 2024 – The Volleyball Association of Maldives, in collaboration with the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), successfully concluded the FIVB Coaches Course Level 1 on Wednesday, July 31.
The course, which commenced on July 27, welcomed 45 enthusiastic participants who engaged in both theoretical and practical training sessions over five days.
Under the expert guidance of Mr Sridharan, the course instructor, along with the support of four local coaches, participants honed their skills and knowledge in volleyball coaching. Upon completion of the course, all 45 participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their achievements.
The Special Guest of the Closing ceremony, the Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, Mr Abdulla Rafiu, addressed the gathering and said that “this initiative not only improves coaching standards but also contributes to the overall growth of the sport in the country”.
Mr Mohamed Latheef, President of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) and the Volleyball Association of Maldives, was also present in the closing ceremony.
The Special Guest of the Ceremony Hon Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation also presented tokens to the participants who had outstanding performances. They are.
