Five USC Men's Volleyball Trojans Earn MPSF All-Academic Honors

LOS ANGELES – Five USC men’s volleyball student-athletes were named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation’s All-Academic Team by MPSF Executive Director Foti Mellis on Wednesday, May 17.
 
Junior setter Nate Tennant (Oak Park, Calif./Oak Park HS), senior libero George Dyer (San Clemente, Calif./Saddleback Valley Christian HS), redshirt sophomore OH Jackson Reed (Carlsbad, Calif./Cathedral Catholic HS), senior MB Lucas Frassrand (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery HS), and sophomore libero Austin Stuard (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Mira Costa HS) were each named to the team.
 
Frassrand was chosen for All-Academic honors for the third time (2021, ’22) and Dyer received his second MPSF All-Academic nod (2021). Dyer was also a 2021 Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll recipient.
 
The 12th-ranked Trojans concluded the 2023 season with a 10-16 overall record and went 3-9 in MPSF matches to finish in sixth place. USC faced Stanford in the opening round of the MPSF tournament but was eliminated by the Cardinal in four sets. In its history, the USC men’s volleyball program has captured four NCAA championships while appearing in 15 NCAA tournaments and has produced 21 Olympians, 34 first-team All-Americans, and seven College Players of the Year.
