It marks the first weekly award for Martin this season as well as Florida’s first offensive.
This is Martin’s fourth SEC weekly honor of her career and first of the season. It also marks Florida’s first offensive award during the 2024 campaign.
The sophomore from Fort Mill, South Carolina averaged 6.25 points and 4.83 kills per set to hit .362 in the Gators two road wins this past week. The All American served her fifth ace of the match to tie her career high and secure the Friday sweep over Texas A&M on Oct. 18, while also posting a team-high 17 kills, six blocks, four digs and one assist. She also led Florida’s offense in Sunday’s sweep at LSU with 12 kills for a .417 hitting clip to continue her streak of recording double-digit kills in every single collegiate match she has playing wearing the Orange and Blue (40 matches).
Martin is averaging 5.36 points this season, which ranks No. 1 in the SEC. Additionally, she is averaging 0.48 aces and 4.53 kills per set, good for second and third in the Conference, respectively.
