TROY, N.Y. – Sophomore Maddie Greco of the field hockey team was named the Liberty League Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row and she was joined by nine Union College student-athletes on their respective weekly honor rolls for the week ending November 3, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
Field Hockey Offensive Performer of the Week: Maddie Greco
Greco scored both goals in a big 2-1 overtime victory over Keene State College on Saturday, opening the scoring in the 13th minute and then netting the game-winner 62 seconds into overtime. Her two goals tied and broke the school single-season records for goals and points in a season, giving her a conference-best 19 goals and 42 points on the year.

Field Hockey: Sophie Brady
Brady posted a .904 save percentage in two games last week, making 13 saves and conceding only two goals in a 1-1 week against top-50 NPI opponents. The junior made 13 saves and did not allow a goal during the run of play on Wednesday against Montclair State University, allowing only a penalty stroke goal in a tough 1-0 loss. She rebounded by making six saves – five coming in the second half – in a close 2-1 overtime victory over Keene State on Saturday.
Football: Cole DaSilva, Hayden Hall
DaSilva led all players with 15 tackles on Saturday against Ithaca College, recording seven solo stops and one pass breakup.
Hall averaged 41.1 yards per punt on nine boots against Ithaca, consistently putting the Bombers in tough field position. He had two punts of 50 yards and downed three balls inside the 10-yard line, including a pair that stopped at the Ithaca two-yard line.
Men’s Soccer: Lucas Montalto, Jackson Magee
Montalto recorded his first career multi-goal game with two tallies in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Clarkson University. The junior netted the eventual game-winner just 5:02 into the contest and then added his second of the day just 3:17 later to give the Garnet Chargers an insurmountable two-goal advantage.
Magee posted an .875 save percentage in two matches last week, making seven saves and allowing only one goal in a 1-1 week. He made two saves in a tough 1-0 loss at Skidmore College on Wednesday, but came back to stop all five shots he faced to earn his fifth shutout of the season in a 4-0 victory over Clarkson on Saturday.
