BALTIMORE, MD – After leading the top-ranked Johns Hopkins Blue Jays to a 4-0 week, Natalie Aston was named both AVCA National and Centennial Conference Player of the Week. The senior All-American has stuffed the stat sheet while helping the Jays to a 49-match winning streak. Aston is the second Blue Jay in 2021 to earn National Player of the Week honors joining Simone Bliss

This past week, the senior setter led Hopkins to four sweeps, including a win in the suspended season-opener vs. Stevenson. Playing in 11 sets, Aston averaged 10 assists per set, 2.0 digs, 1.55 blocks, 1.27 aces and 0.64 kills. Aston hit .500 for the week and totaled 31 points, consistently showing off her versatility. Aston totaled a season-high seven aces in a 3-0 win at Haverford on Saturday. Aston helped lead the Jays to 20 straight points in the match, including a 14-0 second set start in which she registered five aces.
