Johnson Tabbed ACC Co-Player of the Week


DURHAM – Duke senior outside hitter Gracie Johnson was tabbed ACC Co-Player of the Week following her career performance against Michigan over the weekend.

The Blue Devils defeated Big Ten opponents Michigan (3-1) and Michigan State (3-2) en route to their seventh straight victory. Duke also captured a 3-1 win on the road Tuesday against Elon.

Johnson tallied a whopping career-high 28 kills against the Wolverines to hit an impressive .389 percent for the match. Her 28 kills are tied for the fourth-most in a four-set match nationally this season. She also registered six aces, 15 digs and five blocks in three matches.

Johnson owns 143 kills this season for 4.47 kills/set and is second in the conference in total kills. She is third nationally in aces (25) as the team is ranked fifth nationally with 84.

Duke will close out its non-conference slate with Winthrop Thursday and Harvard Saturday in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
