Men’s Volleyball Drops Tri-Match at Juniata

HUNTIGDON, Pa. – The Immaculata men’s volleyball dropped both sides of its tri-match against Juniata and Marymount on Saturday.

In game one against the Eagles, the Macs found themselves down 14-4. The Macs then went on a run to get back into the contest with the score standing at 23-19. The Eagles came out on top, however, claiming set one 25-20.

The Macs did not have as much luck in sets two or three, dropping the sets by scores of 25-12 and 25-13. Garrett Pepper and Steven Dao led the Macs in game one with five kills each while Joe Martell recorded 12 assists.

In game two, the Macs did not fair much better, getting swept by the Saints. The Macs fell quickly in an 8-0 hole in set one on their way to a 25-15 loss. The Macs then failed to reach double digits in set two, losing 25-8. The Macs could not convert in set three, dropping the set 25-18.

Against Marymount, Pepper led the way with seven kills while John Bohrer led the team with four digs.

The Mighty Macs will return to Alumnae Hall on Sunday as they honor their senior class during their final contest of the 2022 season. The Macs will face off against Randolph Macon at 11:00 A.M. Prior to the start of the contest, the Macs will honor their senior class.
