No. 19 Florida State Sweeps Duke

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke volleyball team was swept by No. 19 Florida State, 3-0 (14-25, 11-25, 13-25), Sunday afternoon at Cameron Indoor Stadium. 
 
Audrey Koenig and Taylor Head paced the Seminoles’ offense with 12 and 11 kills, respectively, to help Florida State hit .353 percent for the match. 
 
Duke was limited to its lowest hitting percentage of the season as Florida State tallied 18 blocks. 
 
Offensively, Duke was led by Kerry Keefe with 10 kills, while Grace Penn dished 15 dimes. Libero Mailinh Godschall added 13 digs as four different Blue Devils tallied a block. 
 
How it Happened

• Florida State jumped out to an early 12-7 lead, forcing head coach Jolene Nagel into her first timeout of the match. The Seminoles hit .393 percent and limited the Blue Devils to a negative percentage as they tallied eight early blocks. 
• The Seminoles continued their dominance in the second set as they hit a match-high .417 percent, spearheaded by Koenig’s nine kills and no mistakes. 
• Duke jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the third set, but following a Florida State timeout, the Seminoles went on a 17-3 run to capture their 15th win this season.
