Pair of Badgers to Compete at Volleyball NORCECA Final Six Tournament


MADISON, Wis. – Carter Booth and Sarah Franklin of the Wisconsin Volleyball team will represent the USA Senior Women’s National Team (WNT) at the annual NORCECA Final Six Tournament, held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

This year’s roster for the NORCECA Final Six was pre-determined and highlights two current Badgers in middle blocker Carter Booth and outside hitter Sarah Franklin. Both Booth and Franklin have previous experiences in training with USA Volleyball and training with USA Volleyball back in March in Anaheim, Calif.

“We are treating NORCECA Final 6 as the first tournament of the new Olympic cycle that eventually leads to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles,” U.S. Women’s Head Coach Karch Kiraly said.

 “We are really excited about the future possibilities and potential of the athletes on this roster who will represent our women’s senior national team.”

This group of 14 have been training together since June 12 at the USAV National Training Center in California before the tournament from June 24 to July 1. Team USA will first take on Mexico on June 26 at 2 p.m. (PT). Two days later, Team USA will face Canada, also at 2 p.m. (PT). On June 29, the NORCECA Semifinals will take place, with medal matches the following day.
