Red Devils make hire: Take 2

Burns promoted from assistant to head coach at Rockford

Eureka tabbed Candace Van Bogaert as its new coach yesterday. Van Bogaert, most recently the men’s coach at Lincoln College (Ill.), takes over for Hunter Bishop, who accepted the head position at Kalamazoo in March after being announced as the Eureka coach in January.

I think this leaves Blackburn and Spalding as the only Region VIII/IX institutions currently seeking a head coach for 2022. Former Blackburn three-year head coach Morgan Hauser resigned. Spalding’s four-year coach Cheneta Robinson is now an assistant at Southern Indiana.

The Blackburn and Spalding pending announcements will be the 13th and 14th new coaches in Regions VIII/IX for 2022.
