HARRISONBURG, Va. – In a weekend of success for the EMU men’s volleyball team, Nate McGhee stood out in the matches, helping the Royals to a pair of wins across a two-day span. With the performances, the junior outside hitter has earned Royals Athlete of the Week.
In a three-set sweep in front of the home crowd at Yoder Arena against Immaculata, McGhee put forth his best effort of the season thus far. Accumulating 22 kills on 42 attempts, the junior hit a staggering .405 kill percentage to help the team towards the big CVC victory. In the very next match, McGhee put together another solid effort in the road win against Baruch. The Newport News native notched a .310 kill percentage, collecting 19 total kills.
With the home stretch ahead, McGhee is confident that the Royals can continue to build on the success and really put together some steam towards the final matches.
