Run at Pac-12s Ends for Sand Devils


TEMPE – No. 6 seed Sun Devil Beach Volleyball fell 3-1 to No. 3 seed Stanford on Friday, ending their run in the Pac-12 Championships. 

Arizona State moves to an 11-9 record against ranked teams this season and 21-9 overall. This was the third time in program history that the Sun Devils had won two duals at the Pac-12 Championships. 

The No. 3 pair of senior Taryn Ames and graduate Lexi Sweeney won their match in three sets, improving to 20-9 on the year. That is good for the fourth most by a pair in a single season, sixth most for career pair wins. They both now have 61 career individual wins, which is tied for the third most in program history.
