Abderdeen, SD – Presentation College drops their final home match of the year to Dakota Sate University on Saturday on Parents Day. The Saints are now 8-20 overall on the season and 5-7 in the NSAA.
In the first set the Saints and Trojans battled back and forth with the Saints having an early lead until the Trojans took the lead 13-12 and never gave it up winning 25-20. The Saints did fight to close the gap several times in the first set and got it down to a point lead for the Trojans but never could catch them. The Saints hit .093 in the first set while the Trojans hit .136.
The second set Dakota State came out very aggressive and the closest Presentation College could get was two points in this set. The Trojans ran away with this set 25-12. The Saints hit -.174 and the Trojans hit .186 in the second set.
The third and final set of the day went the Trojans way too in a final score of 25-19 in their favor. The Saints kept fighting in the third set and kept the score closer in the entire set until the end when the Trojans scored the last three points to sweep the Saints. The Saints hit .058 for the set and the Trojans hit their high for the match with .217.
By the Numbers…
The Saints were led by Grace Tobin (JR/Mason City, IA) with eight kills. Kerstin Knopik (SO/Little Falls, MN) (So/Little Falls, MN) had six kills. Laura Babcock (SR/Aberdeen, SD) had 17 digs, Sydney Miller (SR/Battle Ground, WA) had 10, and Olivia Corey (SO/Watertown, SD) had ten to round out the Saints with double digit digs. Miller and Corey also had ten assist each to pace the Saints.

The Saints finish out the regular season on the road this weekend in North Dakota. They start Friday night at Valley City State University in Valley City, ND at 6:00 PM. Then on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM the Saints wrap up the regular season in Dickinson, ND at Dickinson State University.
