Smith Named CVC Player of the Week


ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.– Elizabethtown College men’s volleyball stand out Logan Smith was named the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Player of the Week for helping the Blue Jays to a perfect 3-0 record on the week. 

The sophomore, outside hitter recorded 44 total kills on the week which included a career-high of 22 kills in the 3-1 win over Eastern. He averaged 4.40 kills per set, hitting .361 on the week, while totaling 50.5 points in the three matches. Smith also recorded 14 digs, five total blocks, and four service aces. 

Smith is just the third Blue Jay in men’s volleyball program history to earn the CVC Player of the Week honor. Smith is currently third in the NCAA in kills per set (4.80) this season. 

The Blue Jays are back at home tomorrow as they host Messiah at 8PM.
