Sun Devils Fall In Four-Set Battle At No. 5 Georgia Tech

ATLANTA – On the last leg of the Georgia Tech Invitational, Sun Devil Volleyball came up short to host team No. 5 Georgia Tech in four sets (25-17, 25-22, 13-25, 25-10) on Saturday.

Notable Stats

  • Arizona State (4-2) battled with Georgia Tech (4-0) in a rowdy gym, taking the Yellow Jackets to four sets. The two teams were close in most categories, but ASU struggled on serve receive down the stretch, which contributed to Georgia Tech’s nine aces in the match.
  • ASU’s win in the third set snapped Georgia Tech’s 11-set winning streak.
  • Senior outside hitter Iman Isanovic notched 15 kills today, her fifth match in a row reaching double figures. She passed Leanne Schuster (1991-94) in the record book for career kills, moving into 16th all-time.
  • Also reaching 15 kills was junior pin hitter Marta Levinska with a strong .314 hitting percentage. She also collected a season-high 15 digs for her first double-double of the season.
  • Primarily handling the setting duties was junior Ella Snyder, earning a season-high 32 assists. She added eight digs as well.
  • Sophomore libero Jaden Ravsnborg had 10 digs today. She has not had below 10 digs this season.
  • Middle blocker Claire Jeter earned nine kills on a .400 clip, as well as three blocks.
